The family of Mitragyna Speciosa can be divided into three different strains, namely Red-vein, Green-vein and White-vein. Those different strains vary in their chemical composition and thus will have different physical and mental effects.
The fine green kratom powder emerges from the leaves with green colored stem and veins. However about 75% – 85% of the green and white named strains are made of red veined leaves and maintain their color through specific drying processes.
Thanks to over 25 potent alkaloids (= organic compounds in plants that have physiological effects on humans) in the kratom leaf, pleasant uplifting, relaxing and soothing effects are experienced with this vein. However the Green-vein contains lower concentrations of the most potent alkaloid 7-hydroxymitragynine and can be set between the strong Red-vein and the mild White-vein.
Thus the Green-vein strain combines the properties of the pain-relieving red strain and the energetic-boosting white strain. People report a light increase of focus, energy and optimism as well as a reduction of stress, social anxiety and pain in muscles and joints.
Keep in mind that the dosage is likewise determining the beneficial impact on mind and body as well as the choice of strain. The alkaloid content of the leaves differs in quantity depending on the geographical location and harvest time. As a result there exist different geographical variants within the same strain. The Green Borneo will give you more relaxing effects whereas the Green Sumatra is a mild energy booster.
In all, the Green Vein is described as pleasurable while retaining the desired pain relief and balanced energy outcome due to its more subtle operating. Take a look at our green strains and decide for yourself!
